Beer With Dead Guys
Have you ever wondered, "what has the world come to?"
The problems facing today's church aren't all that different from those faced by the ancient church 2,000 years ago! Join us for free(!) beer and non-alcoholic refreshments as we explore how the early church handled issues of sex, justice, and politics in the Roman Empire. LBC Church Office, second Thursday's @ 7:00 PM. Let us know you're coming.
New Membership Class
We are excited to be offering the next round of membership classes from our previously postponed class. The class will be Friday, October 3rd from 6-9pm with dinner included, and Saturday morning the 4th, from 9am-12pm. Attending the membership class does not require you to become a member once you've gone through it, but it gives you a great opportunity to learn more about Lake Baldwin Church, meet some new people and get connected, and asked any questions you may have! If you'd like to learn more or RSVP email hello@lakebaldwinchurch.com
Young Adult Lunch
To kick off the start of the fall and a new semester, on 9/7 the LBC Young Adults will be having lunch after church at Dave and Nancy Farrell's house (2130 Common Way Rd). If you're college-aged, in your 20s or in your early 30s, join us for some free food and a fun hangout, and please feel free to invite a friend! If you'd like to come, feel free to email Scott Stinson at scott@lakebaldwinchurch.com.
Journey of Generosity
Journey of Generosity is a Friday night, Saturday morning event that helps explore the relationship between Jesus and generosity. During this small group, we will watch short video stories, engage in personal Bible study, have focused solitude time before the Lord, and have some authentic conversations around grace and generosity. Yet our hope isn't that you would just grow in generosity, but in intimacy with Jesus and his generous heart for us. We would love for you to join us! Sign Up Here!
Teaching Fellowship
Have you ever wondered how to be "in" the world as a Christian, but not "of" it? That's the question we're exploring this fall in our LBC Teaching Fellowship class In, Not Of: Being Christian in a Secular Age. This class is for anyone, no matter where you are as a Christian-- we will strive to understand our culture and Scripture in a winsome, collaborative and stimulating environment that will be accessible for all. The goal: To answer the "why" questions. Why does our culture believe what it does, and why is Christianity better? If you have a SPLASH-aged kid, childcare is available; if you have a teenager in Immerse, drop by after you drop your teen off! If you're interested in attending even just some of the classes, please register here. Feel free to email Scott Stinson at Scott@lakebaldwinchurch.com if you have questions!
